I guess this will be my symbolance of an introduction. I've only been trying to type this up for two weeks. Seems everything goes wrong in your life right when you don't need it to. Just so you know where I'll be coming from in my column, I guess I'll tell a little about myself. I'm a 22 year old male, who has been through enough to feel old, but hasn't really done anything at all. I'm in a band, called ¨CLUELESS?, we are a poppy little three piece punk band that has started progressing into a poppy little ska band. I think we are really having an identity crisis though, because when the bassist, and\or I am writing songs they don't come out ska, then we just change them at practice, laugh, and go on with it. Enough about that, I just turned 22 last Sunday, the 9th of Febraury, and I feel so much different. (SARCASM, just in case you couldn't tell). I'm not sXe, like most the columnists here seem to be, but I do hold many of the philosophies. I am against illegal drug usage, and don't like cigarettes, but i guess maybe i drink to much, and pleasures of the flesh don't bother me. Uhm, I'm not in college right now, because i haven't had the money, but I'm finally going to get back next fall (I hope). I live with the bassist in our band, Skippy, and his girlfriend in an apartment in Greenville, North Carolina. There are never any shows here, well that's a lie, we have a short season when a lot of bands come, then the rest of the year we have nothing. Some of my favorite bands are Screeching Weasel, Squirtgun (see my review), The Suicide Machines, Mr. T Experience, and others along that vien. Anyways enough about me, next month I'll write something half interesting. Thanks to Simon for letting me have this space on his overly wonderful punk E-zine, and to Nate, for writing me so often. See ya next month. |
